Frequently Asked Questions

Are your products safe for children?

Most products are safe for children.

The Redhead Approved Suncream has been tested on many skin types and is safe even for babies.

Certain products like All Things Icky Balm and Bug Off Oil are not safe for children under 2, because of the essential oil dilution.

Please email us before you order if you're unsure. Thank you.

I already have oily skin, will putting more oil on my skin make it worse?

Logically you would think adding oil to oily skin would make it worse, oil actually helps to control oil production.

It works like this,

The special blend of oils in our cleansing serum help to lift excess sebum, the oily substance produced by glands on your skin. Cleaning out clogged pores and blackheads and helps to remove dead skin, pollutants, and makeup.

We highly recommend the Cleansing serum for oily skin types because of this.

Also, the carefully crafted formula in the Damage Control Serum helps to combat the overproduction of oil, clear up spots and calm irritation.

I have sensitive skin, are your products right for me?

Absolutely. We have some wonderful sensitive skin humans that we test Bushfairy products on, all results have come back without any problems.

Because we do not use chemical preservatives in our products, Bushfairy is safe for sensitive skin types.

Although we do recommend doing a patch test first because everybody’s skin is different.

Are your products safe for a pregnant or breastfeeding woman?

Some products may not be safe while pregnant.

We use essential oils in our products which may or may not be safe.

We recommend checking with your health care professional before ordering.

How should I store your products?

We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place. Away from direct sunlight.

If you want to extend the best before date, you can store them in the fridge.

In warmer temperatures the Sympathy Balm, Intense Night Cream and Deodorant balm can turn quite soft, so you may want to put them in the fridge to reset them.

We also like to keep the Hyaluronic acid serum in the fridge because it is nice and cool in the summer, (although this is not a necessity).

Once opened all creams and balms have a shelf life of about 6 months.
